The Miss Anguilla Queen Pageant is one of the most anticipated stage shows of the Summer Festival. It is an eagerly awaited competition divided into 2 performance presentations: The Swimsuit and Costume Competition on Sunday July 26th and The Miss Anguilla Queen Competition on Thursday August 6th. The Miss Anguilla Queen Pageant captures the essence of drama, suspense, glamour, talent, discipline and character - all key ingredients in the melting pot that is Carnival. The Miss Anguilla Queen Pageant is the ultimate platform within the Summer Festival activities for the chosen candidates to display strength of self in an extremely competitive environment.
The 4 lucky contestants will undergo rigorous development and training prior to the show dates. Not only will the contestants be working on being 'show ready' but they will also be working on becoming more well rounded individuals through the many development sessions and training that have been planned especially for them. This year the focus on education and personal development.
The Miss Anguilla Queen Pageant Committee is ready to deliver a show of exceptional standard this year with some exciting twists. The Organizing Team is confident that with the early preparation, planning and organization along with much appreciated financial support from the Carnival Committee and the Private sector, that the Miss Anguilla Queen Pageant 2009 will be a fabulous success!
