The Anguilla Tourist Board/Anguilla National Carnival Committee is currently accepting submissions for the 2009 Summer Festival Slogan Competition. It has certainly not been “all work and no play,” for the 2008 Miss Anguilla contestants. The committee has organized a schedule of events where the contestants can interact with each other, while they experience the best of what Anguilla has to offer. Contestants make visits to 6 primary schools

This year, the committee is committed to getting the contestants active in the community by reaching out to the younger generation through a visit to each of the island’s primary schools. Each contestant was given the opportunity to visit a primary school on the island and share information with the children on some of the issues affecting the community of Anguilla.
